Social & Cultural

At our many events throughout the year, whether it be for social or cultural they are all vital in stimulating the warm and friendly atmosphere of Etz Chaim that is so important to us - whilst also sometimes raising some much-needed funds, to ensure our synagogue thrives in Leeds.

The New Friendship Club

The New Friendship Club has been formed by merging the leisure clubs at Etz Chaim, and BHH. It meets on alternate Tuesdays at 2:00pm at The Reuben Vincent Hall.

Members enjoy a social, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Events typically include musical entertainment, fascinating and interesting film shows, and guest speakers.

There is also the occasional party, luncheon, trips to the theatre and to the coast.

Refreshments and a raffle are included, all for a very minimal charge for which we guarantee a most pleasant and enjoyable afternoon. Whilst the Club attracts our more senior members, all ages are most welcome.

Events

Moving forwards, we hope to entice some new faces onto our committee to expand our events to become more inclusive. Catering for all the different members of our Shul, for example, the young marrieds, the singles and to appeal to the younger member. Your only qualifications need to be enthusiasm and a willingness to work as part of our close-knit team.
